Really enjoyed the pod. What stood out to me was your ability to be the floor general in this pod. Ethan you work well as a combo guard. Many times you’ve said you’re a poor host and work much better as a shooting guard. In this pod you did an excellent job of keeping the interview moving. Not too much pushing to set the guest on the defensive or on their back foot. (Even though he took himself there on his own a few times) And you were able to not necessarily give ground by affirming some of the positions that are probably outside of your own belief from the sound of it. I was impressed because there were times I definitely would’ve pushed harder and verbalized my own feelings of the guest inconsistency of a few things and that would’ve been the wrong approach. Your curiosity and good-faith approach permitted you to be the right person to do an interview with this. Anyways— good stuff man.
I worry that these people are actually exacerbating the perception that caring even mildly about animals is a wacko extremist viewpoint.
Ventilation shutdown actually sounds like something most people would say should be illegal, so it may be more productive to bring attention to it in a less obnoxious way that wouldn't immediately taint the cause with wierdo-ness. Maybe easier said than done, but still.
